Karate competition to start on 18 September
  Bangla Press Desk:  Under the initiative of SKIF Bangladesh and in collaboration with the Bangladesh Karate Federation, the national and international karate competition and the second international karate seminar and dan grading 2025 are starting in the capital. Competitors from eight countries will participate in it. SKIF Bangladesh General Secretary Syed Nuruzzaman said, at our invitation, 1150 karate players from more than 75 karate organizations, district sports organizations, schools and universities of the country will participate in various categories. Of which 350 are children, 300 are juniors, 250 are cadets and 250 are seniors, and more than 70 have submitted applications for dan grading. Apart from this, organizations and players from India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Japan, Syria, Argentina and America will participate. He said, ‘The games will be conducted by Bangladeshi referees who have passed the referee exam from the Bangladesh Karate Federation and SKIF-Bangladesh referees and Asian Karate Federation referees. For that purpose, the referee panel of the Bangladesh Karate Federation has been discussed. I believe that this arrangement will play a special role in the development of the country's karate arena and will play a special role in improving the quality of players and referees for the development of karate in the country.’
This karate competition and seminar will be held at the Mahal Convention Hall of Jamuna Future Park from September 18 to 21. BNP Standing Committee member Dr. A J M Jahid Hossain will be present as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the first day. Secretary General of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists Kader Gani Chowdhury and Convener of Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP Aminul Haque will be present as special guests. Salahuddin Ahmed, member of the BNP Standing Committee, will be present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony on 21 September 2025. Former Cabinet Secretary ASM Abdul Halim, Professor of the Marketing Department of Dhaka University Dr. Morshed Hossain Khan and VC of Bangladesh Open University Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam will be present as special guests. The main attraction of this year's event is SKIF World Chief Instructor Sosik Shihan Manabo Murakami, Black Belt 8th Dan, Shihan Kitamura Tetsuro, Black Belt 7th Dan (JKA).  This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
