Leadership is not about position, but about responsibility: Sayem Sobhan Anvir

Bangla Press Desk:   Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association Chief Adviser Sayem Sobhan Anvir has said that BAJUS is not just an organisation to him, rather it is a symbol of honour, trust, and the future of the country’s traditional jewellery industry.

“Serving as the president of the organisation has taught me that leadership is not about position, but about responsibility,” he wrote on his Facebook page on Monday night.BAJUS has appointed its outgoing president, Sayem Sobhan Anvir, chairman of Anvir Bashundhara Group, as its chief adviser.

Enamul Haque Khan Dolon, proprietor of Diamond and Divas, has been reappointed as the organisation’s president for a second term.

The handover of the newly elected BAJUS board of directors was completed on Monday at the association’s office in Eskaton in the capital. 

Following the handover, the first meeting of the new board was held, where Sayem Sobhan Anvir was unanimously nominated as the chief adviser.

“After assuming the responsibility of the chief adviser, I wish to continue standing by in the same way as before – through guidance, experience, and sincerity,” he wrote.

Congratulating the new president and its board of directors, Sayem Sobhan Anvir added, “I believe that through united efforts, BAJUS will grow stronger and the country’s jewellery industry will reach international standards.

“Serving the country’s industry, supporting its businesses, and upholding the people’s trust is my pledge – now and always.”
