Liverpool Win Race for Munoz After Activating Release Clause

Bangla Press Desk:  Liverpool are set to sign Spain winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna after triggering his €40 million (£34.5 million) release clause, BBC Sport reports.

The 22-year-old, part of Spain’s World Cup squad, completed his medical on Wednesday after Liverpool had sent staff to the US.

Munoz, who made his international debut in March, is expected to sign a six-year deal at Anfield, with the transfer fee paid in two instalments.

Newcastle had been in advanced talks to sign the forward following Anthony Gordon’s move to Barcelona, but Liverpool won the race for Munoz. Source: daily Sun
