Notun Kuri Sports reaches its decisive phase on Tuesday
Bangla Press Desk: The final phase of the nationwide talent hunt programme, Notun Kuri Sports, will be inaugurated by the State Minister for Youth and Sports, Aminul Haque, on Tuesday.
He will inaugurate the discipline of swimming at the Mirpur swimming complex at 10am.
The talent hunt programme is focused toward 10-to-14-year-olds who will be groomed as the future stars of the country's sports.
It features disciplines like cricket, football, kabaddi, athletics, chess, badminton, swimming, and martial arts.
On Tuesday, youngsters will compete to demonstrate their excellence in kabaddi and cricket, alongside swimming.
The events will be held across six venues: Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium, Bangladesh Army Stadium, Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium, Syed Nazrul Islam National Swimming Complex, and the Chess Federation.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will be present at the Army Stadium on 27 July - the concluding day of the competition - to hand over the prizes.
