PM announces one-month timeline for third LNG terminal decision
Bangla Press Desk: The government would take a decision on installing the country’s third LNG terminal within a month, said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman during a meeting with business leaders on Wednesday.
Tarique held the meeting with a delegation from the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Secretariat.
BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan told reporters about the government’s forthcoming decision on the third LNG terminal.
The government has taken several measures to tackle the energy shortage and their impact will become visible within the next one to one-and-a-half years, Mahmud Hasan Khan said quoting the PM.
Among the measures, a decision on installing a third terminal for importing, and processing LNG would be taken within the next 30 days, Mahmud Hasan Khan added.
