Rashid hits 700 in T20 cricket

Bangla Press Desk:   Rashid Khan has scaled yet another peak in T20 cricket, claiming his 700th wicket in the format. The Afghan captain achieved the milestone against the United Arab Emirates at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.

It came during UAE’s 16th over, when Rashid returned for his final spell. Muhammad Arfan attempted a reverse sweep but lost balance, toppling onto the stumps. Rashid completed the historic dismissal with calm precision.

Despite the landmark, Rashid remained focused, seemingly calculating Afghanistan’s Super 8 prospects. His T20 dominance is now unmatched; only former West Indian star Dwayne Bravo comes close with 631 wickets. Among active bowlers, only Caribbean all-rounder Sunil Narine (613) approaches him.

In international T20s for Afghanistan, Rashid’s tally reaches 191 wickets cementing his status as one of the game’s most lethal and consistent bowlers.
