Rishad bags three as Hurricanes outclass Perth

Bangla Press Desk:   Hobart Hurricanes clinched a four-wicket victory over Perth Scorchers on Friday, with Bangladeshi leg-spinner Rishad Hossain starring with the ball. His three-wicket haul helped the Hurricanes move to second place in the points table, behind Melbourne Stars.

After winning the toss, Hobart opted to bowl first and Rishad played a key role in restricting Perth to 150. Riley Meredith struck early by dismissing Mitchell Marsh, before Rishad removed Cooper Connolly and later accounted for Aaron Hardie. Finn Allen top-scored for Perth with 43 before falling to Mitchell Owen, while Rehan Ahmed sent back Ashton Turner. Rishad later claimed the wicket of Laurie Evans, who scored 45 off 24 balls.

Rishad finished with impressive figures of 3 for 33 from four overs. Chasing the target, Hobart reached the total comfortably, led by Tim David’s 42 off 28 balls. David was named Player of the Match as the Hurricanes secured their third win of the season.
