Bangla Press Desk: Bangladesh’s top chess talents have gathered as Russian Grandmaster Petr Kiriakov launched an intensive two-month training programme in Dhaka today. The initiative, sponsored by the Bangladesh Olympic Association and organised by the Bangladesh Chess Federation, aims to sharpen the skills of the country’s elite players ahead of major international competitions.
Running throughout October and November, the programme is specifically designed to prepare IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman and IM Manon Reja Neer for their participation in the prestigious FIDE World Cup Chess, scheduled to take place in Goa, India, from 30 October to 27 November.
Joining the duo are some of Bangladesh’s strongest players, including IM Md. Minhaj Uddin, IM Abu Sufian Shalik, FM Subrata Biswas, Mohammad Shaker Ullah, FM Mohammad Javed, Anata Choudhury, FM Md. Sharif Hossain, FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed, FM Nayem Haque, along with the country’s top female players.
