Sport Adviser confident of Bangladesh’s victory against Sri Lanka
  Bangla Press Desk:  Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, Adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, met with the Bangladesh squad in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. He conveyed his best wishes ahead of the Asia Cup clash against Sri Lanka, scheduled to begin at 8:30 PM Bangladesh Standard Time at the Zayed Cricket Stadium. “I expect Bangladesh to win today. With the current spirit in the team, we expect positive results from them in this Asia Cup. After the match against Hong Kong, I’m feeling quite optimistic,” Asif Mahmud told reporters after leaving the team hotel. Bangladesh Ambassador to the UAE Tareq Ahmed and Consul General Md Rashedujjaman were also present during the visit.
Asif Mahmud also highlighted the United Arab Emirates’ initiative to assist Bangladesh in the sports sector. “We are working on this. Our Chief Adviser has already spoken with the UAE sports minister, and they have given a soft commitment to build eight sports hubs. We’ve completed the designs and sent them over.
