He conveyed his best wishes ahead of the Asia Cup clash against Sri Lanka, scheduled to begin at 8:30 PM Bangladesh Standard Time at the Zayed Cricket Stadium.
“I expect Bangladesh to win today. With the current spirit in the team, we expect positive results from them in this Asia Cup. After the match against Hong Kong, I’m feeling quite optimistic,” Asif Mahmud told reporters after leaving the team hotel.
Bangladesh Ambassador to the UAE Tareq Ahmed and Consul General Md Rashedujjaman were also present during the visit.
