The first Muslim police commanding officer in New York

New York Correspondent: a Pakistani-origin Muslim-American officer from the police Department of new York (NYPD) has taken on the responsibilities of the local district as its commander, the first time such an appointment was in force history.
Chief police patrol Fausto Pichardo confirmed the appointment of captain Adil Rana as the head area. “Welcome aboard to the captain Adil Rana-first to police the Pakistani-American section chief,” Pichardo wrote on Twitter.
A police officer received congratulations from various Muslim-American groups and other city officials in welcoming the development, historical significance.
Expressing his excitement, the wound said that he feels proud to lead the best men and women of great division. “Together we can make a difference. This is a historic event, a great day for America!” he said.
