Bangla Press Desk: The finals of the Polar Ice Cream 29th School Handball Tournament will be held on Sunday at the Shaheed (Captain) M. Monsur Ali National Handball Stadium in Dhaka.
In the boys’ title clash, Sunnydale School will meet Narinda Government High School, while the girls’ final will see Viquarunnisa Noon School take on Sunnydale School. The girls’ final begins at 2:30 PM, followed by the boys’ final at 3:30 PM.
In Saturday’s boys’ semifinals, Sunnydale stormed past St. Gregory’s School with a commanding 31–13 win, having led 15–7 at halftime. Narinda booked their spot in the final with a 19–12 victory over Dhaka Govt. Muslim High School, after taking an 11–7 lead at the break.
In the girls’ competition, Viquarunnisa Noon School eased to a 17–2 triumph over Shaheed Bir Uttam Lt. Anwar Girls’ College, going into halftime 9–0 ahead. Sunnydale produced an even more emphatic performance in the second semifinal, thrashing Sher-e-Bangla Girls’ College 29–1 after racing to a 19–0 halftime lead.
