Bangla Press Desk: At least one person has succumbed to his injuries following clashes between “Tawhidi Janata” and the followers of late Nural Pagla, who during his lifetime allegedly claimed to be Imam Mahdi and God, in Rajbari on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Rasel Molla, 28, a service member at Nural's shrine, and a resident of Jhut Mistrir Para in Goalanda upzila, confirmed Rajbari Additional Police Superintendent Md Sharif Al Razi.
Rasel was undergoing treatment at the Faridpur Medical College Hospital at the time of his death.
Goalanda UNO Nahidur Rahman said authorities were still trying to confirm the exact number and nature of casualties.
