15 asst land commissioners posted through lottery in Khulna
Bangla Press Desk: To avoid lobbying and political recommendations, Khulna Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Firoz Sarkar has posted 15 assistant commissioners (land) through a lottery system.
The posting ceremony was held on Sunday (October 12) afternoon at the conference room of the Khulna Divisional Commissioner’s Office, where each AC (Land) selected their workplace by drawing lots.
Divisional Commissioner Firoz Sarkar said the initiative was taken to ensure administrative transparency and accountability.
Earlier, he had earned praise for transferring 21 surveyors through a similar lottery-based process.
Since taking charge as the Khulna Divisional Commissioner, Firoz Sarkar has introduced several unconventional steps to dismantle administrative syndicates and build an effective governance system.
Officials said his initiatives have brought new enthusiasm and dynamism to the field administration in Khulna.
Khulna Press Club Convener Enamul Haque and Member Secretary Rafiqul Islam Tutul were present at the event.
