15 injured in Parbatipur passenger bus accident

Staff Reporter: At least 15 people, including Ganodhikar Parishad spokesperson Faruk Hasan, were injured when a passenger bus lost control and fell into a roadside ditch in Parbatipur, Dinajpur. The accident occurred early Sunday (August 24) in the Ambari area of the upazila.
Following the incident, Faruk Hasan posted on social media Facebook, stating: “The Heritage Express bus carrying us met with a terrible accident in the Ambari area of Dinajpur district. Please keep us in your prayers.”
According to local sources, the speeding bus suddenly lost control and plunged into the ditch. Later, locals rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital.
Arifur Rahman, in-charge of Ambari Police Investigation Center, said there were about 15 passengers on board. All were injured to varying degrees. The injured are receiving treatment in different hospitals, and no reports of serious injuries have been received.
