180-Day Priority Plan Launched to Restore Encroached Government Land
Bangla Press Desk: Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu said that the government has adopted a 180-day priority plan and well as medium and long-term actions plans to recover illegally occupied government land and allocate the recovered khas land.
He also mentioned that funds have been allocated in favor of Deputy Commissioners (DCs) for maintaining the recovered land.He made these remarks on Tuesday while responding to a question from ruling party Member of Parliament AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon during a session of the National Parliament. The session was chaired by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.
The Land Minister said that strict legal measures are being taken to recover illegally occupied government land. As part of these efforts, operations are being conducted under “The Government and Local Authority Lands and Buildings (Recovery of Possession) Ordinance, 1970,” the “Land Crime Prevention and Remedy Act, 2023,” and the “Land Crime Prevention and Remedy Rules, 2024.”
