The Department of Disaster Management sent allocation letters to deputy commissioners on Wednesday.
The allocation letter stated that 16,495 tonnes of rice have been allocated for 32,990 puja mandaps across 64 districts for Durga Puja, providing 500 kilograms per mandap to feed the devotees.
According to the letter, deputy commissioners will distribute the rice to upazilas based on the number, size, scale, financial capacity, and other relevant factors of the mandaps in their districts.
