Bangla Press Desk: The government on Monday issued a notification effectively elevating the rank of 65,502 primary school headmasters to that of 10th grade public service holders.
These headmasters were earlier ranked as 11th grade, trained teachers, and 12th grade employees. The elevation of status would strengthen their socio-economic position, and contribute towards the improvement of the country’s education levels, the government said in a notification.
Elevating the socio-economic position of teachers is essential to improving the quality of education, it added.
Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Senior Information Officer Abdullah Shibli Sadik signed the notification.
