AI will never be able to surpass human art: Ranbir

In a recent interview, the popular actor made it clear that he prefers to be known not as a "Bollywood star," but as a proud representative of Indian cinema as a whole.
Ranbir shared these thoughts in an interview with *Variety India* while promoting his upcoming mega-project, *Ramayana*.
During the conversation, Ranbir explained that the term "Bollywood" originated because Mumbai was once known as "Bombay"—much like how terms such as "Tollywood" are used for film industries in South India.
However, Ranbir believes it is time to move beyond these labels. In his view, the term "Bollywood" diminishes the vastness of Indian cinema, given that our nation is a beautiful tapestry of diverse languages ​​and cultures.
On this note, Ranbir added, "Ours is a country of many cultures and languages. Yet, ultimately, we are all striving to create a single body of art. Art is something that binds people together; it knows no boundaries."
Experts suggest that Ranbir’s perspective resonates with the current trend, where films from various regional languages ​​are transcending linguistic and national borders to win the hearts of audiences everywhere.
The Upcoming Mega-Project: *Ramayana*
Currently, Ranbir Kapoor is busy promoting his latest film, *Ramayana*. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and based on the ancient Hindu epic, this fantasy drama will feature Ranbir in the role of Lord Ram. The film boasts an ensemble cast of prominent stars. As one of the most anticipated releases of the year, *Ramayana* is set to hit theaters on November 5th.
