AL misrule returns to Faridpur in a new form: Nayab Yusuf

Bangla Press Desk:  Jatiotabadi Mohila Dal Joint Secretary Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf has accused the administration of intimidation and political bias in Faridpur, alleging that the misrule of the Awami League regime has resurfaced in a new form.

Speaking at a press conference at Faridpur Press Club on Tuesday, Nayab who is seeking BNP nomination for the Faridpur-1 constituency condemned the recent attack on former MP AK Azad’s motorcade in Krishnanagar union.

She alleged that police raids on BNP activists’ homes are creating fear, similar to “the repressive tactics of the former Hasina regime.”

The BNP leader urged the home adviser, home secretary, inspector general of police, and Dhaka range DIG to take immediate action against Azad and those trying to rehabilitate fascist elements in Faridpur.

BNP leaders AK Kibria Swapan, Afzal Hossain Khan Palash, Syed Zulfiqar Hossain were present among others. The event ended with a protest march led by Nayab Yusuf.
