Anisul, Inu, 5 others shown arrested in murder case

Bangla Press Desk: A Dhaka court on Wednesday granted applications to show former ministers Anisul Huq, Hasanul Haq Inu, and five others arrested in connection with a murder case linked to last year’s student mass uprising. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arifur Rahman passed the order after police sought their detention. Additional Public Prosecutor Muhammad Shamsuddoha Sumon confirmed the matter. The other accused are former ministers Amir Hossain Amu and Rashed Khan Menon, Awami League leader Abdur Razzaq, former lawmaker Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Sumon, and Kazi Monirul Islam Monu.

According to case statements, Md Riaz, 35, was shot on 5 August and subsequently died. Following his death, a murder case was filed with Jatrabari Police Station that year. This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
