Another big jump in gold prices in the country
Bangla Press Desk: The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced another increase in the price of gold in the country's market. According to the new decision, the price of 22-carat gold has been increased by Tk 5,482 per bhori to Tk 2,30,422.
BAJUS announced this information in a notification on Monday (June 15) morning. The new price will be effective from 10 am today.
The notification said that the price of pure gold has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been determined considering the overall situation.
According to the new price, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) in the country's market will be Tk 2,30,422. In addition, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori has been determined at Tk 2,19,983, 18-carat gold per bhori at Tk 1,88,549 and the price of traditional gold per bhori at Tk 1,53,557.
Earlier, the last time the price of gold in the country's market was adjusted by BAJUS on the morning of June 13. At that time, the organization had increased the price of a 22-carat gold bhari by 6,590 taka to 224,940 taka. In addition, the price of gold per 21-carat bhari was set at 214,734 taka, per 18-carat bhari at 184,058 taka, and per 149,882 taka for traditional gold. Which came into effect from 10 am that day.
So far this year, the price of gold has been adjusted 75 times in the country's market. Where the price has been increased 39 times; reduced 36 times. And in 2025, the price of gold in the country's market was adjusted a total of 93 times; where the price was increased 64 times, and reduced 29 times.
