Arakan Army abducts five Bangladeshi fishermen
  Bangla Press Desk: Myanmar’s armed rebel group Arakan Army has reportedly abducted five Bangladeshi fishermen along with their trawler from the Naf River estuary in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar. Confirming the matter, Teknaf Upazila Nirbahi Officer SK Ahsan Uddin said the incident took place on Tuesday evening. The abducted fishermen are Md Ilias, 41, his two sons – Akkal Ali, 20, and Md Nur Hossain, 18, Saber Hossain, 22, and Md Saiful Islam, 25, all residents of Shah Parir Dwip Jaliapara village. UNO Ahsan Uddin said members of the Arakan Army arrived by speedboat, abducted the fishermen at gunpoint and took away their trawler as well. This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
