Army Chief departs for US on official visit

Bangla Press Desk:  Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-uz-Zaman left the country on Saturday (28 March) for an official visit to the United States.

The visit aims to recognise the contributions of Bangladeshi peacekeepers in United Nations missions and to further strengthen bilateral military cooperation between the two countries.During the visit, the army chief will attend a special lecture at the Senate Chamber, organised by the Georgia State Capitol, where a commendation will be presented in recognition of the exemplary service of Bangladesh’s UN peacekeepers.

He is also scheduled to participate in bilateral meetings with relevant US officials to discuss defence collaboration and strategic cooperation.
