Asif Nazrul visits hospital to inquire about Khaleda Zia’s condition

Bangla Press Desk: Law adviser Asif Nazrul visited Evercare Hospital on Friday night to inquire about the health of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, who remains in a critical condition. He spoke with doctors and offered support to her family as she receives treatment in the capital.

Shairul Kabir Khan of the BNP Chairperson’s media wing said Asif Nazrul came on behalf of Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus. The Chief Adviser’s special assistant, Monir Haider, joined the visit, while BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also accompanied them.

Doctors are closely monitoring Khaleda Zia inside the hospital’s Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) under the attention of a dedicated medical board. Medical teams continue intensive treatment to stabilise her condition.

BNP leaders are following updates on her health around the clock, and senior officials are receiving frequent briefings on her progress. The visit by Asif Nazrul and other senior figures reflects the party’s concern for her wellbeing and demonstrates continued support for their ailing leader.

Many observers view Khaleda Zia’s health as both a deeply personal matter for BNP and an important political moment. The presence of senior leaders at the hospital shows solidarity with the former prime minister and reinforces unity within the party during this difficult time.
