Bangladesh Reports 787 New Suspected Measles Cases, Four Deaths in 24 Hours
Bangla Press Desk: Bangladesh recorded 787 new suspected measles cases and four more deaths in the past 24 hours, the country's health authorities said on Saturday.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 60 cases of measles were confirmed between 8am Friday and 8am Saturday, with two confirmed deaths during the same period.
During the period, 787 suspected cases and four deaths were also reported.
The DGHS said that from 15 March to 4 April, the total number of confirmed measles cases stood at 826, while suspected cases reached 6,476.
During the same period, 16 people died from confirmed measles, while 98 deaths were reported from suspected measles.
Besides, a total of 2,654 patients recovered between 15 March and 3 April, the DGHS said. Source: daily Sun
