Bangladesh to send emergency aid to earthquake-hit Afghanistan
  Bangla Press Desk: The Government of Bangladesh is sending emergency aid to earthquake-hit Afghanistan by a special Bangladesh Air Force aircraft on Friday following the instructions of the Honourable Chief Advisor. The aid items include dry food, baby food, blankets, winter clothes, tents, drinking water, and medicines, read a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday. A powerful earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan on Monday, killing more than 1,400 people, seriously injuring more than 3,000 Afghan citizens, and destroying more than 8,000 homes. The earthquake has caused humanitarian disaster in the affected areas due to shortages of food, water, and shelter and a lack of emergency medical services.
Chief Adviser's Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Armed Forces Division, BGMEA, Essential Drugs Company Limited, PRAN-RFL have worked together to send the relief materials.
