Biden will give 1.6cr doses of vaccine for Asian countries including Bangladesh

Staff Reporter: US President Joe Biden has announced 1.6 crore doses of vaccine assistance to Asian countries, including Bangladesh. At the same time, more than 30 countries around the world will help five and a half million doses of vaccine. These vaccines will be distributed this month under the International Vaccine Alliance CoVAX. A statement from the White House on Monday said, It has also been mentioned that 1.6 crore vaccines have been allocated for Asia.
The United States announced in early June that the first 2.5 crore vaccines would be delivered from Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. No updated information was available about these vaccines. However, the United States is not currently sending the Oxford-Astragene vaccine to countries due to production problems.
The current list includes Bangladesh as well as India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Maldives, Bhutan, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Papua New Guinea, Taiwan, Cambodia and the Pacific Islands. On the other hand, 14 million vaccines will be distributed on the basis of regional priorities. Bangladesh is also in that list.
