BNP nominates Sharifuzzaman for Chuadanga-1; promises wellbeing of people
Bangla Press Desk: Md. Sharifuzzaman, the BNP’s nominated candidate for Chuadanga-1, has expressed optimism over party unity, saying that leaders and activists of the district BNP are fully aligned.
“Everyone has come together shoulder to shoulder to work for the 'Dhaner Shish' (Sheaf of Paddy) symbol. Previously, many had expressed intentions to run separately, but after the central committee announced my nomination, there is no division,” he told at his home on Monday night.
Sharifuzzaman also outlined his development priorities for the constituency if elected. He promised to work to improve the quality of life for the people of Chuadanga, with a focus on education, healthcare, agriculture, and youth employment.
Among his pledges are the establishment of an agriculture university, ensuring proper services at the 250-bed Sadar Hospital, and other local development initiatives.
Following the central committee’s announcement, district BNP leaders and activists gathered at Sharifuzzaman’s residence to celebrate his nomination. However, in compliance with party instructions, they refrained from holding a victory or celebratory rally.
During the gathering, party supporters presented him with a bundle of the Dhaner Shish symbol and expressed their gratitude to the party high command for nominating him.
