BNP's Abul Hossain defeats Islami Andolan's Faizul Karim in Barishal-6

Bangla Press Desk:   Islami Andolan Bangladesh Senior Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Faizul Karim was defeated in Barishal-6, according to unofficial results announced by the district returning officer last night (12 February) after counting votes, including postal ballots.

Results from 113 polling centres showed that BNP's Abul Hossain Khan won the seat with 81,087 votes.

He was followed by Jamaat candidate Md Mahmudunnabi, who received 54,533 votes. Syed Faizul Karim polled 28,823 votes.

Barishal-6 recorded a 54.23% voter turnout, with 1,71,138 registered voters casting their ballots. Source: daily Sun
