Bridge Division Rolls Out Digital Attendance System at Setu Bhaban
Bangla Press Desk: The Bridge Division and the Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) have officially launched digital attendance system at Setu Bhaban, bringing all employees and staff under a fully electronic monitoring framework.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, the biometric-based attendance system has been installed at the entrance of the BBA headquarters to strengthen security and ensure regular presence of employees.
The system has been in operation since 22 February, covering 100 percent of officials and staff of both the Bridge Division and BBA.
The initiative has been undertaken in line with government directives aimed at ensuring punctuality in public offices and enhancing administrative efficiency.
Secretary of the Bridge Division and Executive Director of BBA Mohammad Abdur Rouf said the move was implemented in accordance with the Prime Minister’s directives to ensure timely attendance and improve public service delivery.
Director (Administration) and Additional Secretary Altaf Hossain Sheikh said the initiative marks a significant step toward building a modern and smart administration. He added that the digital attendance system will help ensure proper utilization of government resources and accelerate project implementation.
The press release was signed by Md Masud Rana Shikdar, Deputy Director and Public Relations Officer of the Bangladesh Bridge Authority.
