Bangla Press Desk: Mushfiq Uddin Togor, a convicted defendant in the 2002 murder of BUET student Sabekun Nahar Sony, has been arrested by the Rapid Action Battalion.
Togor, who was released from prison on special consideration, was detained by RAB-3 on Thursday from Azimpur of Dhaka for involvement in the illegal arms trade.
According to RAB, a revolver, a magazine, a wooden pistol grip, 155 rounds of ammunition, spent shotgun cartridges, two masks, and two mobile phones were seized from his possession during the arrest.
At a press briefing held at the RAB Media Centre in Karwan Bazar on Friday (19 September), RAB-3 Commanding Officer Lt Colonel Fayezul Arefin confirmed the arrest.
