CEC, four commissioners to meet President at Bangabhaban today

Bangla Press Desk:  Ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the upcoming referendum, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A M M Nasir Uddin and the full commission will meet President Md Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban to brief him on overall preparations.

Election Commissioner Abdur Rahmanel Masud confirmed that following the meeting with the President on Wednesday (10 December), the schedule for the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the referendum may be announced either in the evening or tomorrow.

He shared the information while speaking to reporters on Tuesday afternoon (9 December). 

He said the CEC will call upon political parties and other stakeholders to cooperate in ensuring a fair and orderly election.

As per tradition, the commission led by Nasir Uddin will meet the President today. Earlier, the full commission met with Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus to discuss various election-related matters. In addition, the Election Commission has already published the gazette amending the RPO.
