Chinese envoy meets PM’s defence adviser to explore cooperation
Bangla Press Desk: Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister’s Defence Adviser to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Brig Gen (retd) AKM Shamsul Islam at the Armed Forces Division office in Dhaka Cantonment on Sunday.
During the meeting, held in a cordial atmosphere, the two exchanged greetings and discussed various aspects of the longstanding and multifaceted relations between Bangladesh and China, the Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) said in a Facebook post.They also discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral ties, particularly in the area of defence cooperation, along with other areas of mutual interest.Both sides expressed optimism that the long-standing friendly relations between Bangladesh and China would continue to deepen and expand in the coming years.
