Court delays gazette notice in Tulip Siddiq’s Gulshan flat scam case
Bangla Press Desk: A Dhaka court on Sunday set 8 April for publishing a gazette summoning Tulip Rizwana Siddiq and former RAJUK assistant legal adviser Sardar Mosharraf Hossain to appear before the court in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) over alleged flat fraud in Gulshan-2 of the capital.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order, ACC Assistant Director (Prosecution) Aminul Islam confirmed the matter.He said that the court had earlier, on 8 March, ordered publication of the gazette through the Bangladesh Government Press (BG Press) asking the accused to appear before the court. However, the gazette could not be published within the stipulated time due to the Eid holidays, prompting the court to reschedule the date.
Earlier on 26 February, court ordered issuance of a Red Notice through Interpol to arrest Tulip Siddiq as the accused had left the country before the case was filed and is currently abroad.
Earlier on 18 February 2026, the same court also issued arrest warrants against Tulip Siddiq and Sardar Mosharraf Hossain, in the case after accepting the chargesheet. According to the case statement, the ACC filed the case on 15 April last year against Tulip Siddiq, Shah Md Khorshujjaman, and Sardar Mosharraf Hossain for unlawfully acquiring a flat from Eastern Housing Limited in Gulshan-2 without making any payment and abusing power.
After completing the investigation, the ACC submitted the charge sheet on 11 December 2025 under Sections 161/165A/467/468/471/109 of the Penal Code and Section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947, against Tulip Siddiq and Sardar Mosharraf Hossain.
