Bangla Press Desk: A Dhaka court on Tuesday ordered the freezing of six bank accounts belonging to former member of parliament Ashim Kumar Ukil.
Judge Mohammad Kamrul Hasan Khan of the Dhaka Additional Special Judge Court-3 passed the order following a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
According to the petition, Ashim Kumar has been attempting to transfer, hand over, or otherwise dispose of funds from his bank accounts.
If the funds are transferred, it could become difficult to recover the money later, the plea added.
