Chittagong Correspondent:   Joint forces are conducting a major operation in the remote area of ​​​​Jangal Salimpur, known as a sanctuary for terrorists in Chittagong. More than 4,000 law enforcement officers participated in the operation. The terrorists have broken the culvert over the canal to obstruct the massive operation to clear the hideouts of criminals in Jangal Salimpur. Even then, the officers involved in the operation are strategically crossing the canal and conducting the operation.Before dawn on Monday (March 9), the army, BGB, RAB and police members took control of the entire Jungle Salimpur area. In addition, senior officers of various intelligence agencies were present at the scene and observed the entire incident. Senior officers of the Chittagong Range of the police led the operation from the scene.

A source confirmed that Yasin Ali, known as the terror of Jungle Salimpur, fled the scene wearing a burqa shortly after the operation began.

The army took part in the operation with several armored vehicles. Chittagong Range Additional DIG Nazmul Hasan confirmed that several terrorists had been arrested by 2 pm.

It is worth noting that on the afternoon of January 19, RAB-7 officer Abdul Motaleb lost his life in a brutal attack by terrorists in Jungle Salimpur. The area has been under strict surveillance by law enforcement since the brutal incident of beating four RAB members.

Based on intelligence information, it can be confirmed that several accused in the murder case are hiding in these remote mountains. And based on that information, today's special operation is being conducted in a very well-planned manner.Law enforcement sources said that conducting operations here is always a big challenge as the terrain of Jungle Salimpur is very complex. There are numerous narrow paths, deep bushes and scattered settlements inside the mountains, so criminals can easily escape from one place to another.

Additional DIG of Chittagong Range Nazmul Hasan said that the police, RAB, army and BGB are jointly conducting this operation by making a specific strategy. Although it has been confirmed that some people have already been arrested in the operation, it is not possible to get a detailed list of the recovered items until the entire search is completed.

He also said that so that the terrorists cannot enter the law enforcement vehicles, a large truck has been placed horizontally at the beginning of Ali Nagar after the Chinnamul area and a barricade has been created.
