Day-Long Hajj Training Conducted in Thakurgaon
Bangla Press Desk: A day-long training workshop for intending Hajj pilgrims of 2026 was held in Thakurgaon on Saturday.
The training was organised at the mosque and complex of the district Haji Association and was conducted by its organisational secretary Abdul Latif, along with Khalilur Rahman and Dr Nurul Huda.
Among others, Modasser Hossain, vice-president of the organisation, general secretary Alhajj Rafiqul Islam, and Alhajj Altafur Rahman spoke during the session.
President of the district Haji Association Yunus Ali delivered closing remarks, while Khalilur Rahman led a special prayer.
Hajj agents also addressed the programme, assuring proper guidance for pilgrims.
More than 300 aspiring male and female pilgrims took part in the training, organised under the management of the district Haji Association.
According to the deputy director of the Islamic Foundation in the district, a total of 488 pilgrims from Thakurgaon are set to perform Hajj this year. Of them, 44 will travel under government arrangements, while the remaining 444 will go through private management. Source: daily Sun
