Dhaka feels first touch of winter as temperature drops to 18°C
Bangla Press Desk: Capital Dhaka is also experiencing the first touch of winter, mirroring conditions across the country. The mercury dipped to 18°C at 6:00 am on Saturday (15 November), signaling the season’s quiet arrival. A soft chill and thin morning fog have lingered since late last night.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast for Dhaka and the surrounding areas for the next six hours from 7:00 am said that the sky may remain temporarily partly cloudy. However, the weather is expected to remain mostly dry for the rest of the day.
Winds from the north and northwest may blow at 6 to 12 km per hour. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged.
According to the Meteorological Department, at 6:00 am today, Dhaka recorded a maximum temperature of 19°C and a minimum of 18.9°C. At the same time, humidity was 88 percent. Yesterday, the highest temperature in the Dhaka region was 29.6°C.
Today, the sun will set at 5:12 pm, and tomorrow it will rise at 6:14 am It was also reported that no rainfall was recorded in Dhaka in the past 24 hours.
