DMP issues traffic advisory for Osman Hadi’s janaza
Bangla Press Desk: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has requested city residents to follow traffic instructions and use alternative routes to ensure smooth traffic management during the janaza of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.
According to a press release issued today and signed by DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman, traffic movement from Khejur Bagan crossing to Manik Mia Avenue will remain closed on Saturday due to the janaza to be held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban after the Zohr prayers.
The DMP has advised all vehicles to avoid Manik Mia Avenue from Saturday morning until the completion of the janaza and burial and to follow alternative routes as directed by traffic police.
People attending the janaza have also been requested not to carry bags or heavy equipment in the interest of security and to avoid any inconvenience.
The DMP expressed hope for full cooperation from city dwellers to ensure orderly traffic management during the programme.
