Don’t wish to divide the nation anymore: Jamaat Ameer
Bangla Press Desk: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman on Wednesday said his party does not wish to divide the nation anymore and rejects continued bickering over past incidents.
If Jamaat is elected with people’s vote and Allah’s blessing, it would work for development through peaceful and dignified politics, Shafiqur Rahman said while campaigning at Uttara Kafrul High School under the Dhaka-15 constituency.
He called on all his rival candidates in Dhaka-15, particularly "a very strong rival," to accept his greetings, and have respect for one another. He asked the rivals to take their message to the people in a peaceful, polite and orderly manner.
If anyone breaches limits, the people themselves will not forgive them, in the same way, the people did not forgive past violators, the Jamaat chief said.
