DUCSU leaders pay tribute to martyrs at Rayerbazar memorial
Bangla Press Desk:   DUCSU leaders on Thursday morning paid homage to the martyrs of the Liberation War and the July Uprising at the Rayerbazar Martyred Intellectual Memorial, marking the beginning of their official activities. The student leaders laid wreaths and offered prayers at the memorial. Standing before the mass grave of the July martyrs, they pledged to uphold the values of sacrifice and struggle in their work. Newly elected Vice President (VP) Abu Shadik Kayem said, “We will work to implement the manifestos of all who took part in Monday’s DUCSU elections, after gathering opinions from the general students.”
General Secretary (GS) SM Farhad added, “We will try to turn the sacrifices of the martyrs into action. The Indian media is spreading false information to implement its own agenda.” The leaders expressed optimism that a just, participatory, and non-discriminatory Dhaka University can be built by embodying the aspirations of the martyrs of 1971 and the democratic movement of 2024.  This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
