EC asks BTV, Betar to be ready to record polls schedule

Bangla Press Desk:  The Election Commission (EC) has signalled that the schedule for the 13th National Parliamentary Election may be announced on Wednesday.

Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin will announce the schedules in an address to be broadcast on Bangladesh Television (BTV).

The Election Commission has already sent letters to state-run BTV and Bangladesh Betar, instructing them to be prepared for recording and airing the speech.

EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed confirmed the development on Monday (8 December).

He said the EC has sent letters to BTV and Bangladesh Betar to record the Chief Election Commissioner’s address. They have been asked to come on 10 December for the recording.

However, the Commission will later inform them about the exact time of recording.
