Bangla Press Desk : Despite uncertainty in global energy supply due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, eight ships carrying oil and gas have arrived at Port of Chattogram.
The fuel-laden vessels anchored at the port on Sunday morning. According to relevant sources, the ships had already crossed the Strait of Hormuz before 28 February and had begun their journey toward Bangladesh. The information was confirmed by Syed Refayet Hamim, secretary of the Chattogram Port Authority. He said the vessels arrived at the port as scheduled and preparations are underway to unload the fuel.
Meanwhile, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has raised concerns about a possible reduction in global fuel oil supply.
