Bangla Press Desk: Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus has said that the next general election will be held before Ramadan next year, presumably in February 2026.
CA Yunus made the announcement in a video address to the nation on Tuesday.
Earlier, CA Yunus unveiled the July Declaration at the South Plaza of National Parliament Building in the afternoon.
Dr Yunus said, “Now it is time for us to fulfill our final duty - the holding of the national election. From this moment, after delivering this address on this historic day, we are entering the final and most important chapter of our responsibility. We are beginning the process of handing over power to an elected government.”
