Bangla Press Desk: Three members of a family have been killed in a road accident in Bagharpara, Jashore. Three others were also injured in the incident.
The accident occurred around 2am on Monday night at Gaidghat Bazar in Bandabila Union on the Jashore-Magura Highway in Bagharpara upazila.The deceased are: Majid Sardar, 70, from Fatehabad village in Monirampur upazila of Jashore; his son Mahmud Hasan Zakaria Jony, 43; and Jony’s four-year-old daughter, Seherish.
Three more people were injured in the accident and have been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
According to police and local sources, the victims were returning to Monirampur in Jashore by private car from a relative’s house. On the way, when they reached Gaidghat on the Jashore-Magura road, the car lost control and crashed violently into a banyan tree.
Three people died at the scene. Upon receiving the news, police and fire service personnel rescued the victims and took them to Jashore General Hospital.
Sub-Inspector Zahid Hossain of Barobazar Highway Police Station in Jhenaidah said that the bodies were recovered at night and taken to the Jashore General Hospital morgue. As there was no complaint from the family, the bodies were handed over without an autopsy.
