FBI offers $50,000 reward for information of capture to Brown University mass shooter
Minara Helen: The FBI’s Boston Division, the Providence Police Department, and the Rhode Island State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual responsible for the mass shooting that occurred at Brown University on Saturday, December 13, in the U.S. state of Rhode Island. The FBI has announced a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
Investigators believe the suspect is armed and dangerous. He is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and has a stocky build. Members of the public are being asked to review photos and videos of the suspect and share them on social media.

FBI agents and analysts are working closely with partner law enforcement agencies to track leads and gather intelligence to identify the person responsible for the mass shooting at Brown University. Members of the FBI Evidence Response Team and specialists from the FBI Laboratory are also assisting in collecting, processing, and documenting evidence from the scene. As the investigation progresses, the FBI will continue to provide assets, resources, and personnel to support partner agencies in seeking justice for the victims and their families.
On Monday, the FBI–Boston, together with the Providence Police Department, the Rhode Island State Police, and other law enforcement partners, jointly announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
