Five of a family killed in road crash in Cox’s Bazar

Bangla Press Desk:   Five members of a family were killed, and two other injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a microbus in Cox’s Bazar’s Chakaria upazila on Wednesday morning.

Police said the victims include four women and a child.

The crash occurred around 9:30am on the Chattogram–Cox’s Bazar Highway in the Fasiakhali area, said Touhidul Anwar, acting officer-in-charge of Chakaria Police Station.

“Two people died on the spot, and three others succumbed to their injuries after being taken to the hospital,” he said.

The identities of the victims could not be confirmed immediately.
