Bangla Press Desk: In recognition of its ongoing humanitarian efforts, the Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh (HCSB) has received appreciation from Egypt’s state human rights body, the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR).

During a courtesy meeting in Cairo, Dr Hany Ibrahim (PhD), Secretary General of the National Council for Human Rights, and Jamila Ismail, leader of Hizb Al-Dostour and a prominent voice in Egypt’s democratic movement, met with representatives of Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh. Also present at the meeting was Dr Mamdouh, Head of the Economic Department of Egypt’s Human Rights Department and a trusted figure within the Egyptian government known internationally for his humanitarian engagement.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the ongoing humanitarian crises in Gaza and Sudan, and the continuous relief activities carried out by Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh.

The guests expressed that the organisation’s tireless humanitarian work on the blood-stained land of Gaza and among the hungry and displaced communities of Sudan had deeply touched their hearts.

They especially praised the organisation’s ongoing food aid, relief distribution, and humanitarian initiatives in both regions. Furthermore, they expressed admiration after observing the Ramadan humanitarian response organized for displaced families arriving through the Rafah and Aswan borders, where Iftar meals are distributed and each family receives approximately 27 kilograms of essential food supplies. The officials also commended the recognition of HCSB’s humanitarian work in two Egyptian media outlets, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Egyptian Youth Council, highlighting it as an important step toward strengthening international humanitarian cooperation.

Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh stated that its humanitarian activities are not limited to international crises. Within Bangladesh, the organization has long been involved in programs supporting persons with disabilities, assistance and rehabilitation for new Muslims, support for Maktabs and Madrasas, livelihood and self-reliance programs for vulnerable families, and skill development initiatives for youth.

These initiatives are conducted with the guidance and cooperation of some of the country’s leading Islamic scholars, which has contributed to strengthening the credibility and effectiveness of the organization’s humanitarian programs.

According to HCSB representatives, international recognition of their work is not seen as an award but rather as a reminder of their growing responsibility toward humanity. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to continue humanitarian assistance in Gaza, Sudan, and other crisis-affected regions around the world.Source: daily Sun
