Government Cabinet Convenes for Policy Discussions

Bangla Press Desk:  A cabinet meeting was held in the conference room of the Cabinet Division in the Bangladesh Secretariat here on Thursday. 

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman chaired the meeting, said Prime Minister's Press Secretary Saleh Shibly.

According to relevant sources, the first cabinet meeting was held on 18 February, a day after the swearing-in ceremony on 17 February.

However, as it was the first day of assuming office, no new laws were enacted or major policy approvals were taken during the meeting. The session was primarily limited to introductions and preliminary directions.
