Govt has no plan to increase fuel prices: Information Minister
Bangla Press Desk: Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan has said that there is no fuel crisis in the country. He also said that the government has no plan to increase the fuel prices.
Zahir Uddin Swapan urged the public to remain calm and refrain from excessive fuel purchases.The minister made these remarks on Wednesday morning at a press conference marking one month of the government’s tenure.He said that due to the Middle East conflict, Bangladesh—like many other countries—is facing a challenging situation. However, there is currently no fuel shortage in the country, and the government has no plans to raise fuel prices. He again urged people not to panic-buy fuel.
Meanwhile, a special meeting titled “Measures to Address the Fuel Situation” was held this morning at the Secretariat, chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
